I'm glad (and my waistline is glad) I don't live near here. Grabbed a muffin and a pastry...so good and sooo fresh. Cafe is in the front of a commercial bakery that is open concept so you can see the bakers and chefs at work in the back.
Amazing! Words cannot describe how delicious the Pastrys and paninis are. This will be our new go to spot for all things bakery and for lunch as well. The sandwiches come with pasta salad or bagel chips and a sweet treat of the day. My husband and I both had the pasta salad which was also wonderful! Service was friendly and fast as well. We will be back next week! What a great find!
We absolutely love Clayton Bakery and Cafe! My family and I have visited for well over a decade, and it's been a treat every time. Their baked goods are to die for. We visit every time there's a birthday in the family to pick up a cake (red velvet and vanilla are our favorites). And we always have to grab a monster cookie, cream horn, iced cinnamon roll, and buckeye brownie as well! We can also heartily recommend their cake slices, dog shaped cupcakes, and whoopie pies. If it's cold, don't hesitate to grab a hot chocolate; it's one of the best hot chocolates I've had in North Carolina. The staff are also very sweet, warm, and friendly! Placing a cake order over the phone is super easy, and very quick! We will always come back to Clayton Bakery for our sweet tooth fix!
We had the bakery make my wife’s 75th birthday cake. They did a great job and it was ready right on time. Thanks to them all.
The employees are definitely ready. I'm very hopeful and cheerful. Even going out their way to see if they are able to provide me if a particular cake that they don't have display. I would highly recommend if you're in the area, so you don't see these people
Ordered cupcakes for my lil sisters birthday and they were incredible! Left the night with none to spare 🥰 loved the amazing staff the helped design these! They were a hit!
This place makes the best birthday cakes! I ordered this cake for my best friend and it tasted delicious. The bakers ate down while creating this. 10/10 would order here again for my birthday next time! It was also super cheap for this cake! Would recommend to other people
This shop is so wonderful. It's big and there's such a huge selection of pastries and cakes and cupcakes, etc. great paninis and sandwiches, great lattes, local honey, dog treats, bagels, and more. It was very busy so be prepared for a wait, but it was worth it. My only recommendation would be to consider adding more vegetarian sandwich options. Would love to see a cold sourdough bread option with veggies on it and not just one option of cucumber sandwich, though it is very tasty. Our daughter is autistic and has never eaten a birthday cake before. She is very food selective and it's turning 6 today, so we got her a few options and it was SO affordable. Like under $3 for a huge slice of cake. I'm hoping this year she'll finally eat a bite!!
First time here and wow!! First of all way bigger than I thought and a lot more to offer. Pastries are delicious! Will definitely be back.
Our first time, wow impressive! You get a lot for the price! We got half sandwich and soup, also came with homemade bagel chips, a drink and dessert. Bakery choices for sweets amazing! Would love to see some stuffed breads, like spinach, broccoli, etc.
